Abstract
Alzheimer’s Disease is a neurodegenerative disease that can become more serious over time. It affects many individuals with the majority being older. There is no cure for the disease, but medications are prescribed to help improve the person’s quality of life. Non-pharmacological options are available and can be used to help improve symptoms of the disease and the quality of life. Many of the interventions have limited research regarding their efficacy. They have shown promise in being beneficial for people with Alzheimer’s Disease, but still lack high-quality evidence. More research in the area of non-pharmacologic interventions should be explored and clinical judgment should be used in recommending a non-pharmacologic option.
